Description
Perfect for history buffs & sailors alike… DON’T GIVE UP THE SHIP is the famous last order given from Naval officer James Lawrence as he commanded the Chesapeake against the British in Boston Harbor in 1813. While it didn’t go so well for Jimmy – his second in command, Oliver Perry, had the words stitched onto a flag that he flew over his fleet during the Battle of Lake Erie, where he defeated the British, thereby turning the tide of the war. If ever there was a time to hold onto these words – now seems good… and we think Jimmy would agree.
The rallying cry is proudly shown on the front, with the S&S anchor on the sleeve. The navy blue triblend pullover has raglan sleeves, and is a comfy blend of cotton, poly & rayon that can stand up to salt water & tough times. The shirt is made in the USA, and printed on Cape Cod.
